Description
After hooking a Survivor, Dead Man's Switch activates:
- Blocks the first Generator any Survivor stops repairing for 40/45/50 seconds.
- The Blocked Generator is highlighted to you in white.
Dead Man's Switch cannot activate if its effect is still active from a previous activation.

Our take
After you hook a Survivor, the first Generator any Survivor stops repairing is blocked for 40/45/50 seconds and highlighted to you in white. It cannot activate again while its previous effect is still running, so repeated hooks do not stack blocks.
How to use it Take it when you hook early and can then watch where the repair goes. Hold it in a Trial where you never hook, because the perk only arms off a hook.
Best for Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance is the natural pairing, and both want a hook to carry weight. Dead Man's Switch is the pick for a Killer whose hooks should cost the Survivors progress as well as health.
