Description
This description is based on the changes announced for or featured in the upcoming Patch 8.4.0Sometimes the compass points north. Other times it points somewhere else entirely.
At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks:
- The Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white.
Whenever a Survivor is unhooked from a normal Hook, the following effect applies:
- The Hook is converted into a Scourge Hook.
Whenever you hook a Survivor onto a Scourge Hook, the following effect applies:
- The Aura of the Generator with the most progression is highlighted in yellow for 6/8/10 seconds.

Our take
Aura perk. Aura perks reveal or hide Auras (visual indicators of Survivor or object locations). The meta game of aura reading is core to DBD.
How to use it Scourge Hook: Jagged Compass is most useful in the early game when Survivors are spread across the map. Use the aura info to cut off rotations and force bad chases.
Best for Killers with strong tracking instincts or Survivors who want to play the aura-hiding game.
