Any Survivor who takes a Protection Hit comes away with the Broken Status Effect for 60/70/80 seconds. That is the entire charge: a hit that might otherwise have been a near miss turns into a long-term handicap, with no range or timing condition attached to it.

How to use it Strong fit for a killer who wants bodies placed in front of themselves. A poor fit against a team that trades hits willingly, since they are already carrying the Broken.

Best for It works directly against Borrowed Time, Kindred, Lucky Break and For the People, all of which exist to absorb a hit for someone else. The right pick is a killer who expects the rescue and wants that rescue to bleed.
