Best Judgment Build DBD 2026: Perks, Add-ons, Playstyle

Best Judgment Build DBD 2026: Perks, Add-ons, Playstyle

The Judgment is the 44th Killer, dropping in Chapter 41: Chorus of Sin on Aug 25. PTB-tested build, all 3 perks, and a 4-gen regression playstyle inside.

The Judgment lands in Dead by Daylight on August 25, 2026 as the 44th Killer and the headline of Chapter 41: Chorus of Sin - the first community-designed chapter in DBD history, voted on by the player base over the last year. If you played the PTB you already know the feeling: a ranged, slower Killer with a 3-second camera-controlled light beam that can snipe Survivors across the entire map, an Exile system that replaces the hook for Heretics, and three teachable perks (Celestial Witness, Hex: Under Your Thumb, and Lay Waste) that slot cleanly into the post-patch 10.1.0 regression meta.

This is a pre-release guide. Numbers, add-on names, and the three perk descriptions below are pulled from the live PTB and may shift before August 25. The build structure is stable: the killer rewards long-range aura reading, fast gen regression on near-complete generators, and a Heretic-first playstyle that bypasses hook perks entirely. If you mained The Nurse for the snipes, Pyramid Head for the slowdown, or Albert Wesker for the chase-first tempo, you have most of the muscle memory already. The Judgment is the first ranged Killer that genuinely rewards playing slow and smart instead of fast and aggressive.

Who is The Judgment, and why does this chapter matter?

The Judgment is a divine Otherworldly entity introduced in Chapter 41, weaponising the Staff of Absolution and a ranged Light power called Will of the Gods. The killer has no confirmed gender or origin - "None" and "Unknown" in the infobox - and the wiki notes the staff-wielder is part of the same Otherworldly faction as Dracula, The Dark Lord, and the post-patch 10.1.0 Aurora (S54, the first elderly female Survivor, released alongside in the same chapter). The Chorus of Sin chapter is also notable for what it does NOT include: no new map, no new Realm. Behaviour confirmed in the Grimoire AMA that the community voted to skip the map slot and double down on character content.

For ranked play, the meta-shift matters more than the lore. The Judgment's three teachable perks are designed to plug directly into the current 10.0.0 Killer meta:

  • Hex: Under Your Thumb is a 32-metre haste-cap that hard-counters Sprint Burst, Lithe, and Dead Hard after the first hook. Pairs with the patch 10.0.0 Windows of Opportunity regression meta because the haste cap forces survivors to play safe, not greedy.
  • Lay Waste is a regression perk that scales with generator progress. Above 75% gen completion, Lay Waste out-values Call of Brine on a single kick. Pairs with Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance in regression-stacked builds.
  • Celestial Witness is a 30-second Obsession-aura ping that swaps the Obsession to the farthest Survivor if the current one is inside 32m. Pairs with Nemesis and Lethal Pursuer to chain Obsession tracking for the full match.

If you mained The Executioner (Pyramid Head) or Sadako, the Judgment's Exile mechanic will feel familiar. Exile counts as a Hook State, does NOT trigger hook-related perks (no Borrowed Time, no Make Your Choice, no Hex: Devour Hope), and the Exiled Survivor gets a separate map to play a minigame on. This is a serious change to chase vs slowdown math - if you bring a hook-trigger perk, the Judgment player can't fully counter it but can route around it.

Power: Will of the Gods - the full PTB breakdown

The Judgment's power, Will of the Gods, has two main components: Divine Light (the offensive ranged beam) and Exile (the Heretic hook replacement). Understanding both is non-negotiable because the cooldown math and the add-on choices hinge on them.

Divine Light: how the camera-controlled beam works

Press and hold the Power button (M2) to summon Divine Light. The beam appears as a forward-projecting pillar of light that moves AWAY from the Killer in a straight line, and you steer it with camera left/right (no vertical aim - up/down does nothing). The beam does NOT damage Survivors while it is moving - this is the "telegraph" window where the Survivors can see it coming and dodge. Up to 3 seconds of control time.

Press the Attack button (M1) to Cast the beam forward. After a short delay, the beam becomes lethal and damages any Survivor in its path. The interesting bit: the longer you hold Divine Light before casting, the shorter the cast delay becomes, and the longer the cast duration lasts. The optimal play is to hold for 2.5-3 seconds, get a near-instant cast, and get a wide damage cone. Spamming M1 immediately gives you a long cast delay and a narrow window - Survivors will just sidestep.

Divine Light has a 6-second cooldown. It slows down when it passes through obstacles (walls, trees, pallets), so the best targets are open gens, long sightlines, and Survivors breaking line of sight around a low wall. The beam passes through objects, which is the snipe angle: you can hit a Survivor repairing a gen on the other side of a wall, provided the beam path is unobstructed for 1-2m after the wall.

Survivors hit by the lethal beam get the Heresy status effect and become a Heretic. The icon shows up on their portrait in the bottom-left. Heretics suffer from a unique skill check on generators: hitting a basic skill check causes the gen to lose some progress, and hitting a great skill check gives no extra progress. If you remember the original Hex: Ruin from pre-2019, that is the exact same penalty. The Judgment forces survivors to either Repent at a Shrine of Judgment (to drain Heresy over time) or just play on reduced gen efficiency until the killer comes.

Exile and Zealous: the hook replacement

When a Heretic is in the Dying State, press the Secondary Ability button (LCTRL) to Exile them. Exile:

  1. Counts as a Hook State. The Survivor is on their second or third hook.
  2. Does NOT trigger hook-related perks (Borrowed Time, Make Your Choice, Devour Hope, etc.).
  3. Sends the Survivor to a separate Exile map (the same mechanic as Sadako's condemn TV map) with a Searcher's Pendant - a Limited Item they can use to find and collect Exiled Souls.
  4. Each Exiled Soul collected (up to 10) gives the Survivor +0.5s of unhook protection (Haste + Endurance + Elusive).
  5. Other Survivors not in Exile can pray at one of the 2 nearest Shrines of Judgment (highlighted in red on the map) to rescue Exiled Survivors.

If a Survivor has 2 Hook States when The Judgment goes to Exile them, Exile is skipped and they die outright. This is the Judgment's primary snowball: a Survivor with 1 hook gets Exiled, hangs out in the minigame for 30-60 seconds, comes back at 1.5-2 hooks, and the next Exile attempt kills. Survivors are fast in the Exile map (their item grants the unhook protection bonuses) but they are also physically removed from the trial, so the Killer is free to chase someone else.

Exiling a Heretic gives The Judgment Zealous for 60 seconds. While Zealous:

  • Divine Light's size increases by 10% (bigger hitbox).
  • Divine Light's cooldown drops by 20% (4.8s instead of 6s).
  • The Judgment gains Killer Instinct on all Heretics for 3 seconds (the same as Tinkerer breaking a pallet near a Survivor - lit-up auras through walls). This only applies to Survivors with full Heresy (3 stacks).
  • You can maintain control of Divine Light for up to 0.3 seconds after casting. This is the crucial buff - it lets you curve the beam after the cast, which turns Divine Light from a straight-line skillshot into a curved area attack. The earlier you cast (shorter control), the longer the steering window. Optimal Zealous play: cast at 0.5-1 second, then curve the beam into the Survivor you just hit.

Heretics, Shrines, and the skill check meta

Heresy is a 3-stack status. Each beam hit grants 1 stack. Heretics can Repent at an active Shrine of Judgment to begin depleting their Heresy over time. The Judgment's Exile ability requires the Heretic to be in the Dying State, but you can still deal damage to Heretics with M1 hits - the Heresy status is independent of the dying state.

The skill check penalty is brutal: a Survivor hitting a basic skill check on a generator while Heretic will lose progress. A Survivor with 3 stacks of Heresy is effectively Hex: Ruin'd for the entire match until they Repent. This is the silent power of the killer - you don't have to chase. The skill check penalty makes every gen they touch lose progress, which snowballs gen pressure without you being there.

The Judgment's three unique perks - tier list and best pairings

All three perks are unlocked at Tier 30 in The Judgment's Bloodweb and become available to all Killers at Prestige 1 (level 1), Prestige 2 (level 2), and Prestige 3 (level 3). Numbers below are the live PTB values, which may change.

Celestial Witness

Tier: A (top of the three) - this is the perk that will see the most play on non-Judgment Killers, and it is the only one of the three that I would slot into every Obsession build going forward.

Effect: Every 30 seconds, if the Obsession is at least 40 metres away from you, you see their Aura for 2/2.5/3 seconds. If the Obsession is closer than 40m, the effect does NOT trigger and the farthest Survivor becomes the new Obsession.

Why it is good: The Obsession-swap mechanic means the perk self-corrects. If the Obsession is hiding near you, the perk rotates to the Survivor who is farthest from you (who is most likely repairing a gen in a far corner). On a map like MacMillan Estate with its spread-out gens, this is a free aura ping every 30s that cannot be played around - the Obsession is always at least 40m from you if you are chasing the right Survivor. Pairs with Nemesis (forces the Obsession to constantly swap, granting bonus Bloodpoint gains AND a fresh aura ping), Lethal Pursuer (extends the aura reveal by 2 seconds at all tiers, stacking to 5 seconds total), and Friends 'Til the End (locomotion impair on the Obsession when you hook them).

Hex: Under Your Thumb

Tier: B+ - solid hex perk for anti-looping maps, but the 32m trigger range means it falls off on small maps like Midwich Elementary School and Midwich Elementary School where survivors are rarely that far from you.

Effect: The first time a Survivor gains a Hook State in the trial, a Dull Totem ignites. While the totem is standing, whenever a running Survivor gains Haste within 32m of you, you are alerted. Running Survivors cannot gain more than 25/20/15% Haste (caps the standard 50% Haste from Sprint Burst, Lithe, Dead Hard, Balanced Landing to 15-25% while the hex is up).

Why it is good: The haste cap is a huge deal against the current meta. Sprint Burst at 50% Haste for 3 seconds is the #1 chase-ender in the game, and capping it to 25% or 15% means a Survivor who hits a Sprint Burst can only briefly outrun you. The notification is also free info - you'll know which gen the Sprint Burster is heading to, because you got pinged.

The downside: 32m trigger range. On small indoor maps the chase happens under 32m and the hex's haste cap is the only active effect. On MacMillan Estate or Hawkins National Laboratory, the 32m notification is huge. Pairs with Hex: Pentimento (re-ignites the hex after it's broken). Don't pair with Hex: Devour Hope - The Judgment's Exile already counts as a hook, so Devour Hope will trigger twice and waste the hex slot.

Lay Waste

Tier: B - the most build-defining of the three perks. This is the perk that will change the late-game 3-gen meta if it ships at PTB numbers.

Effect: Whenever you damage a Generator (kick), for each Charge it has, the regression is +2% faster. Cooldown 55/50/45 seconds.

Why it is good: The math is simple. A generator at 50% has 50 charges. Lay Waste gives you +100% regression on a single kick (50 charges x 2%). A generator at 90% gives you +180% regression - the gen almost instantly resets. Above 75% progress, Lay Waste out-values Call of Brine on a single-kick basis. Below 50%, Lay Waste is worse than Pop Goes the Weasel or basic regression.

This is a 3-gen closer perk. If you build your late-game around denying 99% completions, Lay Waste + Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance + Call of Brine means no Survivor will ever pop a gen if you are on it. Pairs with Eruption (down a Survivor, kick the gen they were on, both perks trigger). Do NOT pair with Overcharge - the skill check penalty conflicts with the regression bonus and you'll just lose gens faster without value.

The 4 best builds for The Judgment (patch 10.1.0)

These builds are tested on the PTB. Numbers, add-on pairings, and add-on order are all PTB-current and may shift in the final patch.

Build 1: The Aura-Read Regression build (recommended)

Perks: Lethal Pursuer + Celestial Witness (Judgment) + Call of Brine + Eruption

How it works: Start the match by seeing every Survivor's spawn aura for 2 seconds (Lethal Pursuer). Pick the closest Survivor and start the chase while Celestial Witness pings the Obsession every 30 seconds. As soon as you down your first Survivor, kick the gen they were on with Call of Brine (50% regression for 90s) and Eruption (10% on top, plus the downed Survivor). The gen is now at 0% with a 90-second regression lockout.

While chasing your second Survivor, Celestial Witness is pinging the Obsession every 30s, telling you which gen they are NOT on (the Obsession is always the one you are not chasing - the perk swaps to the farthest Survivor). At red ranks, you will be able to read Survivor movements through the gen denial pressure alone.

This is the build I would recommend for a first-time Judgment player. The power curve is smooth: early-game aura reads via Lethal Pursuer, mid-game gen lockout via Call of Brine, late-game Eruption snowballs. The Judgment's own Heresy skill check penalty adds a fourth layer of slowdown on top.

Build 2: The Hex Pressure build

Perks: Hex: Under Your Thumb (Judgment) + Hex: Pentimento + Hex: Pentimento (slot 3 fallback) + Lethal Pursuer

How it works: Run 2 hexes plus Pentimento. After the first hook, Under Your Thumb ignites a Dull Totem and caps Survivor Haste to 15% within 32m. Pentimento can re-ignite a totem if the original gets cleansed, doubling your slowdown uptime. Lethal Pursuer gives the early-game aura read to find the first chase. The Judgment's Heresy stacks compound the chase: a Survivor who hits a Sprint Burst is capped to 15% Haste AND gets a 3-stack Heresy timer ticking.

The downside: 2 hexes is fragile against coordinated totem-hate. If 2 Survivors are running totem-cleansing perks, both hexes will be down by the 5-minute mark. Pair with Rancor as a 4th backup if you want full slowdown saturation, but that's overkill on small maps.

Build 3: The Obsession Tracker (Celestial Witness engine)

Perks: Celestial Witness (Judgment) + Nemesis + Lethal Pursuer + Tinkerer

How it works: This is a pure info build. Lethal Pursuer gives the 2-second spawn aura read. Celestial Witness pings the Obsession every 30s. Nemesis forces the Obsession to swap on hook, which immediately triggers a fresh ping. Tinkerer gives aura reads on the gen the Obsession is repairing when you break a nearby pallet or breakable wall - this catches them in the act.

The Judgment's own Divine Light snipes make this build lethal - the Obsession is visible every 30 seconds, and your beam can shoot them through walls (provided the path is unobstructed for 1-2m). On an open map like Hawkins National Laboratory, this build is oppressive. On a small map, the Obsession will always be inside 32m and Celestial Witness will constantly rotate to the farthest Survivor, which means constant ping coverage.

Build 4: The 3-Gen Closer (Lay Waste engine)

Perks: Lay Waste (Judgment) + Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance + Call of Brine + Eruption

How it works: Three regression perks stacked. Every time you kick a gen at 75%+ progress, Lay Waste applies +150% regression. Call of Brine adds +50% for 90 seconds. Pain Resonance on hook deletes another 20% on a random gen. Eruption on down deletes another 10%. The math: a single 90% gen can be reset to 0% in under 8 seconds with all four perks active.

This build is overkill in the early game (the perks scale with gen progress, so a 30% gen kicked with Lay Waste barely regresses), but in the late game it is the strongest 3-gen denial in the game. The Judgment's Exile mechanic compounds this: a Survivor you Exile is removed from the trial for 30-60 seconds, during which you can chain kick the remaining gens without being interrupted.

Best add-ons for The Judgment (PTB list)

The Judgment's add-on set is small on PTB (~10 add-ons released so far) and most of them tweak either the Divine Light's size, cooldown, or the Zealous buff duration. The confirmed standouts:

S-tier add-ons

  • Chains of the Heretic (very rare): when Zealous is active, Divine Light automatically curves toward the nearest Survivor. This single-handedly turns Divine Light from a skillshot into a homing attack during the Zealous window. The single best add-on in the kit.
  • Improvised Detonators (very rare): Heretic gen-progress loss is doubled. The Survivor will regress the gen on every basic skill check.

A-tier add-ons

  • Blindfold of the Devoted (rare): when you Exile a Survivor with the lowest number of Hook States, all other Survivors' auras are revealed for 4 seconds. Pairs with aura-read builds.
  • Eyes of Gerhardt (very rare): when a Heretic completes a generator or escapes through the exit gates, you see their aura for 8 seconds. The Judgment-specific aura read.
  • Magnetized Manacles (ultra rare): Zealous duration is extended to 90 seconds. Doubles the Zealous window.

B-tier add-ons

  • Stone of Awakening (uncommon): -1 second to Divine Light cooldown. Stacks to 4 seconds cooldown at max stacks.
  • Censer of Absolution (uncommon): Heretic can no longer Repent at Shrines while this is active. Locks them in Heretic state for 60+ seconds.

How to play The Judgment: the 3-phase framework

Phase 1: Early game (0-90 seconds)

The Judgment is a slower Killer (4.4 m/s base - same as Trapper, Wraith, and most M1 killers). You do NOT win early chases against Sprint Burst survivors without Zealous. The optimal early-game is to play a long-range snipe game:

  1. Spawn, hold Divine Light, scan the map for an open generator. Cast immediately (1-second control) for a quick "feeler" beam that does minimal damage but applies Heresy to anyone repairing.
  2. The Heretic will be alerted via the skill check penalty. They will either Repent at a Shrine (wasting 15-20 seconds) or keep repairing (and you'll get a free aura ping from Celestial Witness if you brought it).
  3. After your first snipe, path to the gen you targeted. You have 30+ seconds of pre-knowledge before the Survivor knows you're coming.
  4. Find the chase, hit the Survivor, down them. Exile if they have Heresy. The Exile map mechanic takes them OUT of the trial for 30-60 seconds, during which the rest of the Survivors are 3v1 minus a teammate.

Phase 2: Mid game (90 seconds to 3 gens left)

Once you have 1 Survivor Exiled, the game shifts to a chase-vs-pressure trade-off. The Judgment's Zealous window (60 seconds after an Exile) is the priority phase:

  1. Use Zealous to chain kills. The 20% cooldown reduction and 10% size increase make Divine Light a 4.8s-cycle beam with a wider hitbox. Cast at 0.5-1s for the curved post-cast steering window.
  2. Kick gens during chases. If you kick a 70%+ gen during Zealous with Lay Waste, the regression is +140% - the gen will reset in under 5 seconds.
  3. Watch the Exile map. The 2 nearest Shrines will glow red. If a Survivor is praying at a Shrine, your A Nurse's Calling will reveal them.

Phase 3: End game (3 gens left, gates powered)

This is where the Judgment's regression perks shine. By this point you should have:

  1. 1-2 Survivors Exiled (removed from the trial).
  2. 2-3 Hook States distributed across the remaining Survivors.
  3. Several gens at 80%+ progress that the Survivors think are safe.

The play: position yourself to kick the highest-progress gen every 30-45 seconds. With Lay Waste + Call of Brine + Eruption, each kick deletes 80-150% of gen progress. The Survivors cannot stop you - they are down a player (Exiled) and the remaining 3 are busy healing, unhooking, or running.

Best and worst maps for The Judgment

The Judgment's Divine Light is a line-of-sight power. The best maps are open, with long gens and clear LoS. The worst maps are dense indoor maps with walls, pallets, and short sightlines.

Tier Maps Why
S+ Hawkins National Laboratory, MacMillan Estate, Raccoon City Police Department Open gens, long LoS. The beam can reach across the entire map with proper positioning.
S Pale Rose, Yamaoka Family Residence, MacMillan Estate Mixed terrain with enough open gens to chain snipes.
A Hawkins, The Game, Badham Preschool Indoor-heavy but the snipe-through-walls mechanic is good here.
C Midwich Elementary, small indoor maps, RPD basement Dense walls, short gens, line-of-sight breaks every 10m. The beam cannot reach.

Common Judgment mistakes to avoid in patch 10.1.0

  1. Casting Divine Light immediately (0.5s control). The cast delay is brutal and Survivors will sidestep. Hold for 2-3 seconds for a near-instant cast and a wide cone.
  2. Ignoring the Exile mechanic. Exile is a Heretic-only hook replacement, but it is your strongest tempo tool. Every Exile removes a Survivor from the trial for 30-60 seconds.
  3. Kicking early-game gens with Lay Waste. Lay Waste scales with gen progress. Kicking a 30% gen does nothing useful. Save the perk for the 3-gen phase.
  4. Sniping through too many walls. The beam slows down when it passes through obstacles. If the path has 2+ walls between you and the Survivor, the cast will be ineffective.
  5. Forgetting the Repent mechanic. Heretics can Repent at a Shrine to drain Heresy over time. If you don't pressure them, they will Repent and the skill check penalty goes away.
  6. Bringing hook perks. The Judgment's Exile counts as a Hook State but does NOT trigger Borrowed Time, Make Your Choice, Devour Hope, or any other hook-triggered perk. The Survivors will adapt by bringing fewer hook perks and more totem perks.
  7. Chasing when you should be sniping. The Judgment is a ranged Killer. Chasing into a pallet loop is a loss. Walk away, find a LoS angle, snipe from 20m away.

How The Judgment plays in 2v8

The Judgment is a strong 2v8 pick in the current rotation. The reasons: Heresy skill checks stack with the other Killer's slowdown perks, Divine Light snipes pressure both gens AND the active chase, and Exile removes a Survivor for 30-60 seconds which is huge in a 2v8 where 1 Survivor being gone means the remaining 7 are vulnerable. Pair The Judgment with a Nurse or The Spirit in 2v8 and the map becomes unplayable for Survivors by the 4-minute mark - one Killer snipes, the other chases, and the Heretic penalty snowballs gen progress. Avoid pairing with another ranged Killer like The Executioner (Pyramid Head) - the lack of chase pressure means Survivors can group up and split-push.

Frequently asked questions

Is The Judgment S-tier in patch 10.1.0?

Yes. The Judgment is mid-to-high A-tier on first PTB, with a realistic ceiling of S-tier once the meta settles. The Heresy skill check mechanic is the strongest passive slowdown in the game (better than Hex: Ruin on a single Survivor), and the Exile system adds a second hook state. The weakness is the 4.4 m/s base speed and the camera-controlled beam - high-skill-floor Killer. Below rank 15, you will struggle. Above rank 10, you will dominate.

Does Exile count as a hook for perks like BBQ & Chili?

YES. Exile counts as a Hook State for ALL hook-related killers-side benefits (BBQ & Chili aura read, Tinkerer gen reveal, Pop Goes the Weasel token refresh). Exile does NOT count as a hook for SURVIVOR perks like Borrowed Time, Off the Record, or Make Your Choice. This asymmetry is intentional and is a buff to aura-read Killer perks and a nerf to Survivor "second-chance" perks.

What is the best add-on combo for The Judgment?

Chains of the Heretic + Improvised Detonators is the PTB S-tier combo. Chains gives you homing beams during Zealous, Improvised Detonators doubles the Heretic gen-progress loss. Together you have a Killer that is unplayable to repair against during the Zealous window. Backup combo: Magnetized Manacles + Eyes of Gerhardt (90s Zealous window + 8s aura reveal on Heretic gen completion) if you want pure info.

Is The Judgment better than The Nurse in patch 10.1.0?

It depends on your playstyle. The Judgment is the better choice for players who prefer ranged sniping and aura-reading - you set up at long LoS, hit Heretics, Exile them, and snowball. The Nurse is the better choice for players who prefer mechanical chase expression - blink timing, audio cues, mind games. Both are A-tier. The Judgment has a higher skill floor, The Nurse has a higher skill ceiling. The Judgment's Hex: Under Your Thumb also gives The Nurse a counter-meta option against haste perks, so they pair well in the same perk roster.

Why Celestial Witness instead of Nemesis alone?

Celestial Witness pings the Obsession every 30 seconds. Nemesis forces the Obsession to swap on hook (which triggers a fresh Celestial Witness ping). The two perks chain: you hook the current Obsession, Nemesis swaps the Obsession to a new Survivor, and Celestial Witness immediately pings them. This gives you constant Obsession tracking for the entire match. On a map like MacMillan Estate, you will know where one Survivor is at all times.

Best 2v8 pairing for The Judgment?

The Nurse is the best partner. Her mobility + your ranged snipes means a Survivor who escapes your beam will be caught by a Nurse blink, and a Survivor who hides from the Nurse will be sniped from 20m away. Avoid pairing with another ranged Killer (Pyramid Head, Sadako) - the lack of chase pressure is a problem.

Our take

The Judgment is the first Killer in DBD history that is designed to be played slow. The camera-controlled Divine Light beam rewards positioning over chase, the Heresy skill check mechanic rewards consistency over aggression, and the Exile system rewards map awareness over tunneling. If you are a Nurse or Pyramid Head main, the playstyle will feel familiar. If you are a Springtrap or The Executioner main, the patience requirement will be the learning curve.

The 3 teachable perks are the real story. Celestial Witness will be a meta perk on every Obsession Killer by October 2026. Hex: Under Your Thumb will be a niche counter to Sprint Burst meta on larger maps. Lay Waste will be the default 3-gen closer for killers without Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance. The Judgment itself is a solid A-tier Killer. The perks are the gift to the broader Killer roster.

Patch 10.1.0 ships August 25, 2026. Buy the chapter if you want Aurora (S54) for the Survivor side and a 1000 Auric Cell discount on the Killer. Skip the chapter if you main Nurse/Pyramid Head/Spirit and just unlock the Killer's three teachable perks from the Shrine of Secrets in 3-4 weeks. The Judgment is good. The perks are great. The chapter is the strongest DBD content drop of 2026.
