This description is based on the changes announced for or featured in the upcoming Patch 2.2.0After safely unhooking another Survivor, Deliverance activates: - Grants the ability to perform a successful Self-Unhook at any point during the first Hook Stage. - Causes the Broken Status Effect for 100/80/60 seconds after unhooking yourself. Deliverance cannot be used during the second Hook Stage or if you are hooked as the Last Survivor Standing. Deliverance is disabled for the remainder of the Trial after use. How to use it Always unhook at full health and immediately look for a safe path away from the killer. Use Self-Care or Botany Know later to heal the Broken yourself.
Best for Solo queue anti-tunnel builds where you cannot rely on teammates to come back for you. Pairs with Kindred for visibility and Botany Knowledge for self-healing.

Deliverance has been a meta perk since Patch 2.2.0 and remains one of the strongest anti-tunnel tools in the game. The trick nobody documents: Deliverance only triggers on the first hook stage, so the killer can deny it by downing you twice and skipping straight to stage two. Skilled killers do this when they know Deliverance is active, and I have watched high-rank killers bait the self-unhook by waiting near the hook. The 60 second Broken penalty at tier 3 is short enough that a Botany Know Survivor can clear it solo, which makes the perk much better than it reads. At high MMR, Deliverance is rated A tier because it breaks the killer's tunnel tempo and forces them into chase rotations. Pair with Kindred to read the killer's hook position before committing to the self-unhook.

- Does Deliverance work on the second hook stage?
- No. Deliverance only works during the first hook stage. If you are hooked in stage two, Deliverance does not trigger.
- Does Deliverance work as the last survivor standing?
